ZERO BNP Suction Feed Blast Gun

The BNP Blast Gun is standard on all ZERO suction feed cabinets. An industry standard, the BNP Blast Gun was developed to maximize the efficiency of suction feed systems. The pistol grip design reduces operator fatigue typical of "pipe fitting" guns. The BNP Gun is rebuildable allowing high wear parts to be replaced before the whole gun is scrapped. A great upgrade for any brand of suction feed machine. In the illustration, a cross section of the gun is shown.

Remove rust, mill scale, heat scale, and carbon buildup for metals. Strip paint, powder coating, plating and anodizing. Eliminate burrs, parting lines, flashing, and other defects from castings. Remove residual sand from castings. Beautify stainless steel, steel, aluminum and other metals with a matte finish. Etch glass, stone, plastics and metal. Clean release agents and material buildup from molds. Just a few of the thousands of applications for abrasive blast cabinets!

Two types of media conveyance are commonly used in air blasting: Suction and Pressure:

Suction blasting uses compressed air to "pull" the abrasive media to the blasting gun where it is mixed with the stream of compressed air and then blasted out a nozzle toward the work piece. Suction blasting is the most common air blasting method because of the low air volume requirements and initial investment.

Pressure blasting premixes the abrasive media with compressed air before reaching the blast nozzle. This setup is commonly used in production settings where a higher rate of blasting is desired. Pressure blasting places roughly three times the amount of abrasive media on the work piece when compared to suction blasting.
